You just got permission to detect a freshly plowed corn field, the sun is shining bright it's a warm 81 degrees with a light wind. You got your favorite detector and it just gave you the sweetest tone you ever heard (you know it's a fatty). You break out your digger and open up a plug. You get that sucker pinpointed and......
Well, What is it? Is it a IHP? Is it a Flying Eagle Cent, Minie Ball, a Civil War Cuff Button? Either way it is something no one has touched, held or seen for over 100 years.

Just think, finding something as small as a minie ball at a old home site. When you pick it up your the first one to EVER hold that historic treasure! But wait, the person who dropped it, held it at one time, right? Yes, but in 1865 it was the present not the past. OK, now I got myself a little confused. Simply put it has been over 150 years since someone held or laid eyes on that amazing little piece of lead and YOU get to take it home and find a place for it, in your own little history museum!
So why do what we do? It is the history, the feeling, the passion!!

Meeting are held at 6:30 pm every 3rd Tuesday of the month. Group hunts are held the fallowing Saturday. Time of hunt is based on the weather and season.
